IL FORNAIO PASSAPORTO "WIN A TRIP TO ITALY" SWEEPSTAKES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
Sweepstakes is offered only in the following states: California, Colorado and Washington State. Void elsewhere and where prohibited by law.
You must be a legal U.S. resident of one of the above-indicated states and 18 years of age or older in order to enter the Sweepstakes.

- SWEEPSTAKES SCHEDULE: Sweepstakes starts on January 6, 2020 and ends on June 14, 2020. Sweepstakes is comprised of six (6) periods. Each period, participating** Il Fornaio restaurants will highlight a different region of Italy on their dinner menu.
Period 1 | Region: Trentino, January 6 - January 19
Period 2 | Region: Umbria, February 3 - February 16
Period 3 | Region: Calabria, March 2 - March 15
Period 4 | Region: Lazio, April 6 - April 19
Period 5 | Region: Sicil, May 4 - May 17
Period 6 | Region: Marche, June 1 - June 14 - **All California and Colorado Il Fornaio restaurant locations will participate in the Sweepstakes. Canaletto restaurants do not participate.
- HOW TO ENTER:
a. Visit any participating Il Fornaio restaurant location and pick up a Passaporto (available while supplies last). Or, if you prefer, download the free Il Fornaio Passaporto app onto your Apple® or Android(TM) deviceǂ.
b. Visit any participating Il Fornaio restaurant each period and order any item from the dinner menu. (You need not return to the same participating Il Fornaio location after the first period.) After completion of meal, present your (paper) Passaporto or the Passaporto app to your server to be "stamped"
c. When each of the six (6) regions of the Passaporto has been "stamped", give your completed (paper) Passaporto to the restaurant manager or show the restaurant manager the Passaporto app with all six (6) virtual "stamps".
EACH REGION WILL BE FEATURED ONLY ON THE DINNER MENU OF PARTICIPATING IL FORNAIO RESTAURANTS DURING A GIVEN PERIOD AS PER RULE 1 ABOVE. A "STAMP" CORRESPONDING TO THAT REGION IS ONLY AVAILABLE DURING THAT PERIOD. YOU CANNOT ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES VIA THIS METHOD WITHOUT RECEIVING A "STAMP" FOR EACH OF THE SIX (6) PERIODS.

d. Limitations on Passaporto Entry. Persons may participate in the Sweepstakes by using either the paper Passaporto OR the Passaporto app, but NOT both. Maximum of one Passaporto per person; maximum of one "stamp" per period (per Passaporto). Any qualifying order of a meal that is reflected on a bill will result in issuance of a "stamp" provided that the bill is paid by at least one dining customer. If one or more dining customers attempt to pay a bill including a qualifying meal order by use of a payment method which is later rejected for any reason (i.e., credit or debit card), Sponsor will rescind the "stamp" issued for each meal order included on such bill from all dining customers (whether or not the dining customer attempted to settle the bill) and will not have liability of any kind in conjunction therewith. Server's decision as to whether a meal order qualifies for a "stamp" is final and binding and not subject to appeal. The issuance of an award by Sponsor in conjunction with a meal order shall not constitute any representation as to the eligibility of such meal order for receipt of a "stamp". If a dining customer fails to present Passaporto to server for any reason after completion of the meal as per Rule 2b above, Sponsor reserves the right not to provide a "stamp" at a later time even if the dining customer presents proof of a meal order (e.g., the bill) and Passaporto prior to applicable period deadline. To be credited for a given meal order, a Passaporto must in all cases be "stamped" prior to the end of the applicable period. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a person entering the Sweepstakes by use of the Passaporto app, the entry will be deemed submitted by the registered owner of the mobile device on which the Passaporto app is installed, with such determination being made by Sponsor in its sole discretion. - NO PURCHASE NECESSARY:To enter without purchase, hand print on a 3x5 card your name, complete address (including zip code), date of birth, daytime telephone number, e-mail address (if any) and the names of the six (6) regions of Italy currently featured on the Festa Regionale menu of Il Fornaio restaurants. Mail in a business-size (#10) envelope to: IL FORNAIO, 770 Tamalpais Drive, #400, Corte Madera, CA 94925, Dept. MM-Sweepstakes Entry, to be postmarked by June 15, 2020 and received by June 19,2020. No copies or mechanical reproductions will be accepted.
- RANDOM DRAWING: The winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. The drawing will be conducted by Sponsor on or about July 6, 2020. Potential winner will be notified via e-mail, mail or phone (exact method of notification to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) and will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility/release within an indicated time period. In the event of noncompliance with this requirement, if winner cannot be contacted for any reason, or if winner is determined to be ineligible or otherwise not in full compliance with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited without compensation and an alternate winner selected from among all remaining eligible entries received for the drawing.
- PRIZE/ODDS OF WINNING: Grand Prize (1) trip for winner and one (1) guest to Italy. Winner will make travel arrangements with travel agent as designated by Sponsor. Trip will include round trip coach air travel from international airport near winner's residence to destination city in Italy of winner's choosing (up to $3,000*) plus $1,500 to be used to pay for hotel accommodations and one (1) meal during stay in Italy (or otherwise). Value of Grand Prize: not to exceed $4,500. *Should actual value of air travel component of Grand Prize be less than $3,000, winner will not receive the difference in cash. Should actual value of air travel component be more than $3,000, winner will bear the sole responsibility for such additional cost. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
- PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Trip is subject to availability, blackout dates, advanced notice requirements and other restrictions. Prize travel must be completed by July 31, 2023. Grand Prize winner and guest must travel together on same itinerary. Guest of winner (if a minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) must sign and return a release prior to travel. Should winner elect to travel without a guest, prize will be awarded in increments appropriate for one (1) traveler and no substitute prize or compensation will be awarded in conjunction therewith. Any expenses related to acceptance and use of prize which are not specified in these Official Rules as well as all applicable taxes on prize are winner's sole responsibility. Sponsor shall report winner's receipt of prize to the Internal Revenue Service via 1099 Tax Form; winner agrees to furnish all information to Sponsor and otherwise fully cooperate with Sponsor in fulfilling this reporting obligation. No prize substitution except by Sponsor if advertised prize is unavailable for any reason, and only then for prize of comparable value. Air travel component of prize is not redeemable or exchangeable for cash. Prize is not transferable without the express written consent of Sponsor which may be granted or withheld in its sole discretion.
- CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: Limit of one (1) entry of any kind per person. Use of any artifice or device to violate the entry limit voids all entries after the initial entry. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons determined in its sole discretion to be involved in egregious, blatant or repeated violations of the entry limit. By participating, entrants accept and agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects and are not subject to appeal. Employees and contractors and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) of Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions and agencies are not eligible for the Sweepstakes. By participating, entrant releases and agrees to hold harmless Il Fornaio, its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions and agencies, as well as the directors, officers, agents, representatives, shareholders, employees, successors and assigns of any of the above organizations and Facebook ("Released Entities") from any and all liability arising from participating in the Sweepstakes, any Sweepstakes-related activity and/or acceptance, receipt, possession or use/misuse of the prize. By accepting prize, except where prohibited by law, winner agrees to the use of his/her name, address (city, state), likeness, voice, photograph or other indicia of persona, for advertising/publicity/trade purposes by Sponsor and its designees without further compensation or notice.
- LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: The failure of Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules in any given circumstance shall not represent the waiver of such provision. Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for (a) lost, late, misdirected, stolen, damaged, defective, incomplete, incorrect, illegible, garbled/jumbled, corrupted or otherwise irregular Passaportos (paper or app), entries or mail-in entry requests, all of which are void; (b) postage due mail; (c) typographical, printing or mechanical errors in paper Passaportos; or (d) any technological, electronic, network, programming or other malfunction, error or failure of any kind, including but not limited to any malfunction/error/failure which results in (i) a "stamp" not being properly recorded on a person's Passaporto app or the Passaporto app otherwise not functioning as intended by Sponsor or (ii) damage or loss of any kind to any person's mobile device (or information/data stored thereon). Sponsor's liability for a defective (paper) Passaporto is limited to replacement with another (paper) Passaporto, while supplies last. Passaporto (paper or app) will only be honored and result in Sweepstakes entry if determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion to reflect that all six (6) "stamps" were obtained in a legitimate, authorized manner and in full accordance with these Official Rules. ANY ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD SPONSOR IN CONJUNCTION WITH USE OF THE PASSAPORTO OR THIS SWEEPSTAKES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION; SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PURSUE LEGAL SANCTIONS AGAINST PERSONS DETERMINED TO BE ENGAGED IN SUCH CONDUCT. Force Majeure. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes (or any part thereof) is not capable of running as originally planned due to any occurrence beyond the Sponsor's control (e.g., unauthorized intervention, natural disaster, materials shortage, riot or strike), Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and conduct the Sweepstakes and select the prize winner in a manner which is fair, equitable and in accordance with these Official Rules, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Notice of such action by Sponsor will be posted on the Passaporto app and at all participating Il Fornaio restaurants.
- GOVERNING LAW/DISPUTE RESOLUTION: To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree that any action regarding the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules shall be governed and construed under the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws/choice of law rules of the State of California or of any other jurisdiction which would result in the application of the law of any jurisdiction other than the State of California. You agree to the personal jurisdiction by and venue in the federal and state courts in Marin County, California and waive any objection to such jurisdiction or venue. Any action must be brought individually and not as part of a class action. Any recovery in such action is limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred (if any) in participating in the Sweepstakes, with all other damages and remedies being expressly waived.
